I searched through and havent found to much info. Has anyone added a leaf front and rear on the X? Down the road I plan on lifting the X atleast 6 inches but not for a while. In the mean time I would like to get a 2-3 inch lift without doing to much. Skyjacker has the add-a-leaf and not to expensive. I saw something about needing a trac bar? What is that? Also plan on putting on Bilstiens. The skyjackers say the front is 2 1/2-3 inch and the rear is only 2 so should I replace the rear block for an 1 larger? Thanks for your input!!!
i did the skyjacker add a leaf on my 02 super duty. leveled the truck perfectly without doing anything to the rear. dont know if the same results will happen with an EX. had to remove leaf and add teflon strips between the stock springs and the add a leaf. the squeaking from the leafs rubbing got to be too much.

Did they squeak right away or did it take some time? Would you suggest I add the teflon strips when I do the leafs or just wait? One of my stock leafs was squeaking like crazy for a while then one day just stopped. Its pretty new too. Im still lopsided too which sucks. Thanks for the input!!!
it took awhile to start squeaking. the tapered shape of the add a leaf will start to rub your stock spring. it will become more noticeable with time. i went to a heavy truck dealer and purchased two teflon strips (fairly cheap) i was able to get a pry bar between the add a leaf and the stock spring, pry them apart for clearance and a buddy slipped the teflon between the leaf and the stock spring. the noise was gone for good.
I thought about it, but it would cost more. I plan on in a few years lifting the X a great deal and doing a ton to it so I just want something simple and not cost a ton. I do have a guy who owns a junk yard looking for some for me, so if I can get those cheap then cool. I am also looking for the tow mirrors and an 05 grill... I am hoping I can go myself and pick it apart!!!
