You might want to post in the f-100 forum on farther down the page. This forum is for the 2011 Speculated F-100.

Maybe somebody might chime in here, but since this is relatively new thread on the forum not to many people are watching it yet.

Good luck

all 3 of your blocks are basically the same. they are all D1VE blocks, the last numbers and letters are just revisions to the basic block. they are pretty decent blocks to start with. pick the one that cleans up the best and needs the smallest overbore.

the DOVE - C and The DOVE-a are againt he same head. a is just the first revision and c would be a later revision of the same design. they are closed chamber (75cc) with 2.08" intakes and 1.64" exhausts, screw in studs and rail type rockers. a good starting point for a mild performance build. you can use any combination of these 6 heads. again pikc the two that need the least amount of machine work for your purposes.

the D2VE head are the least desirable of all the factory heads. it is a large open chamber design that was very prone to detonation even in factory trim and 8:1 compression. only used one year (72) and then replaced with the D3VE head. makes a good boat anchor.

so any of the blocks and any of the DOVE heads will make a very decent starting point for a rebuild and project.
