Kez, one thing to keep in mind when posting your questions. We are ALL posting question because every day we stumble onto things we are not familiar with, and a manual may not cover or make clear. So truely there are no dumb questions here.
Glad you have joined and let the questions fly.
If you have pictures of your ride on you computer, then just go create a gallery under UserCP on the tabs on the top of the site. There is an edit gallery tab there. Then you just simply upload the pictures you want to. You can leave descriptions and set sort order of the pictures. You can also edit your gallery at any time and add new pictures or delete old ones if you want to.
you can also post pics of yourself in there...with your truck i mean
Find the "Search" function and learn how to use it. It will be your best friend, as there are so many users on here and this site has been around a long time, theres not too much that hasnt been covered.
The best part about the 4.9l, 5.0 and 5.8 is they were around for a long time so most parts will work from the late 60s to the mid 90s.
welcome
Welcome. As stated earlier, The only dumb questions are the questions never asked. One of the first things I would recommend is to get a code reader for your truck. The first thing to do when something goes wrong is to "pull" the codes.
Also while you are at the library see if they have the service manual for your truck. Some libraries have these but do not let them get checked out as they are quite costly. IMO they are much better than Haynes or Chiltons.
I am fairly new to this site also and have found a lot of things that I have not learned in the past 20 or so years about trucks. Lots of helpful people here.
