O.K. good to know. I figured it was just operator error. For me it is like stupid is as stupid does.....

I have been reading all the input everyone has put in on the cruise control problems. My problem is mine 1/2 works. I push on the cruise control button and or the excel button and you can feel it grab or excel depending on which button I'm pushing, but it will not stay engaged. As soon as I let off the gas, it stops working and won't continue to hold.
Any ideas???

I know you have stated that the stealership diagnosed, but before you replace, check your 3rd brake light (the one over the cab).
This went out on mine and shut the cruise control down as well.
