Ive heard both ways on those. My personal experience with cooper was not a good one. Had some discovery's on my old bronco and they were horrible. They just didn't clean well and didn't grip. My dad had a set and they started to separate, so I vote for something different. I love my Yokohama tires. I think they even make an aggressive mud/street tire.

^^^ Me? Ive ran other tires and these seem to been the best so far. I like BF's but they wear out so fast. I wish Michelin made a more aggressive tire IMO Michelin makes great tires.

I had the STT's on my 06 F250. 295/70/17's. They were a D rated tire but max load was the same as the stock e-rated tire. I went with them and loved them. Had up to 3700 lbs on them with no problem, towed my trailer quite a bit and they held up well.

There was some road noise about what you would expect. I put 20K on them before I sold the truck and they didn't wear bad at all, still had a lot of meat left on them.

I have 295/70/17 on my 2005 F250. They are very nice. They pick up gravel, but spit most of it out at unsuspecting tailgaters Anyway, they clean "pretty good", but do hold a lot of gravel in the center section of the tire between lugs. In soft wet snow they really do well, also in mud (I'm not talking hub deep clay, but general offroad, getting to the camping/hunting spot).

Edit: also, they are load range D, with the same load rating (lbs-wise) as the tires that came stock; however, they feel a little soft to me. I'd rather have a load range E tire in hopes it was slightly stiffer in the sidewall. That's a personal thing though, so take it for what it's worth. If you're offroad a lot a softer sidewall might be better, if you tow a lot, a stiffer sidewall might be better.

I have a set of 35x12.50s on 18s that I got of craigslist locally. They have about 60% treat and still look great. I'll be putting them on around Thanksgiving to replace the Toyo ATs I have now. I looked online and found a lot of really good reviews, so I'm pretty confident it'll be a good tire. Plus, its American made, which is the main reason I didn't want to get Toyos again.

As long as you get an E load rating it should be fine.

As I said before, mine were a D rated tire, but had the same load capacity as the stock BFG's. I towed my 8, 000 lbs travel trailer all over the place and they did just fine. Even had up to 3700 lbs of concrete on them and they did just fine.

I have a set of 35x12.50x16 Cooper stt's. I have about 20k on them now. They are holding up really good. I did rotate them the other day. I noticed for some reason that the back 2 had a little less rubber than the front ones did. Thanks Spartan.
