I know this has probably been asked a million times before but here goes. I have a chance to get a set of 33 x12.50 x 16 tires on 16x10 inch rims at the right price (free). They are on a buddy of mines stock 86 f-350 diesel that grenaded the engine and he doesn't want to fork out the price to repair it. His truck is a long bed regular cab and they fit without rubbing. The truck I want to put them on is a 91 f-250 ex-cab longbed. Both trucks are 4x4. Will they fit my truck in stock form, it's a work truck and I don't want to spend 800 plus dollars to lift a truck to fit tires I don't need but got for free. Thanks for any help you can offer.
If he can fit them stock, you should be able to fit them, the two trucks are close in height arnt they. Doesn't hurt to bolt them on and see how well they fit, you're not going to hurt anything. I think you should be ok, I believe they'll fit, a little tight but they should fit. I can fit 32" tires on my F-150, and my dad's F-250 is a litte taller than mine.
Primary rig is Green Thunder:
95' F-150 XLT 4x4, 302, 5 spd, MSD 6A, Flowmaster American Thunder Exhaust, Sunroof, Clear corners w/ Diamond headlights, CD player with 2 10" subs and some 32" BFG Muds .
That's it for mods now, saving for a Stang. Check out my Gallery for a look-see.
shouldnt be a problem unless the truck's suspension is sagging (likely). even so you may have to just shim out the bumper. if they were on 8 inch wheels it would be no problem
