free 94 turbo. what is interchangable?

i got given a 94 f250 turbo. its a 4x4 5 speed in great condition. i cant believe its free! anyway its got a new engine in it. just a bad clutch. is the block and heads the same as my 97? what about the turbo? i completely intend on leaving mine a powerstroke. if your wondering why im parting out a perfectly good truck its because there is no title. it was abandond vehical. he was a friend of mine and thats how i know the history. other than the 94 being idi, i dont know much about the differences between the 2.

I thought some of the 94 "turbo Diesels" were Powerstrokes without the badges....
Double check- you might get more money for your mods...

The E40D from the IDI's would be swappable with a little effort...
I know you need a Flexplate and maybe a bellhousing adaptor?
I'd ask Bill At Racer-X. He's a little busy but he's probably the best source of knowledge in the ford Tranny business...

Yeah, there were three different 7.3's available for 94:

7.3 NA
7.3 IDI with turbo
7.3 DI or PSD

Both the turboed engines wore badges that said "turbo diesel", the powerstroke badge didn't come out till 95.

I don't think I'd go so far as to say Bill is the best source, but it doesnt matter anyhow, it's a 5 speed.
