At take off seems to hesitate slightly when I first get into the throttle then smoothes out. What could this be caused from, I got New plugs and wires cap rotor installed. 1995 351 F150
No Check engine light on? But I have not checked for codes to answer your question. I had sensor on the mind as well, just trying to pin point the problem.
Check the routing of the ignition wires. Some 351s had a crossfire problem if the wires aren't routed properly. Check the TPS switch and Fuel Pressure Reg too.
good luck

Forget timing chain slap. Yes pull codes they could point you in the right direction. Bad injectors would also cause a bad idle same with a vacuum leak. Crossfire would show up either all the time or only during full throttle.
If the problem is very specific to throttle position it's most likley the TPS(throttle position sensor) it's easy to check. You need a digital volt meter, tap into the signal wire I don't know off the top of my head witch one it is. Watch the voltage as you slowly open the throttle it should be a smooth progression upwards. I also can't remember the peramiters but there easy to see on the meter or look up.
