Vibration in 3rd gear
I recently purchased a '66 f100 w/ 240 I6, three on the tree. I'm working out all the little bugs to make this a nice little daily driver. One problem I've noticed is a vibration after shifting into 3rd gear, and at lower RPM's. This only occurrs in 3rd, after the clutch is engaged, and I begin to accellerate. It smooths out after the RPM's get up a bit. If I wind it out in second, and shift, I don't feel it. I can only describe it as a heavy vibration felt through the truck. It seems to be related to the tranny/clutch. This truck is supposed to have a new clutch, pressure plate, and throw out bearing. Any ideas?
