Ok,
I know that this question has been asked 1000000000 times, but for me I'm new to the topic since i've always went stock tire sizes.
What I have is a 00 ranger, 4.0L, 5spd, supercab 4x4 with 235/75/15's on a 3.73 ratio (this is the ranger in my gallery).
What I'd like to do is get some better clearance by going to a bigger tire, like a 30x9.50r15 or 31x10.5r15 (prefered). My question is if I go with the 31's and no lift are they going to scrub alot and/or bottom out in the wheel wells?
If I go with the 31's will I need to drop to a 4.10 ratio?
Any input is appreciated, but I'd really like to see some ranger pics with the larger tires.
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 09-Oct-02 AT 12:23 PM (EST)]31's won't rub on the 4x4. I believe you can actually go up to a 32 without rubbing. Since you have a 4.0 and 5speed I wouldn't worry about getting a 4:10's with 31's. If you go up to 32's then I would think about it. Also if you do decide to go to 4:10's you have to do the front as well as the rear. EXPENSIVE
If you want pics then go to www.offroadrangers.com and look in the gallery.

Well I decided to get the 31x10.5r15's I oredered them 4 days ago. With the 7.5" rims I should be okay. Yesterday I saw a ranger edge with them on, and they looked sweet.
