Hi Guys,
Just got finished putting some new converters on my 97 F-150 XL lwb with the 4.2 engine, after some "modifications" that had to be done on the bear river converter setup,Iv given some thought to putting dual exhaust on it.
The OEM single Exhaust comes out forward of the Passengers side rear tire.I noticed that directly opposite of the OEM setup is the Fuel tank, which will ultimately keep me from taking the Drivers side out at the same point.
Question is....Has anyone out there put dual exhaust on their 4.2,and if so,did you just take both out the back, both out the passengers side,or what?
After the "issues" I encountered with the Bearriver "bolt-on" steup,Ill likely take the truck to a local muffler shop to have them do it...just want to tell them how I want it done....Thanks!
Alan
Yep,
Kinda figured that would be the beat bet,Never really understood why they took the V-6 exhaust out forward of the Passengers side rear tire, one things for sure I can always tell when I see a F-150 with the V-6!
