New motor ???
Hello all
I am swapping in a 04 Navi engine into my 02 Expedition this weekend. I have switched out the oil pan and other parts and it is just about ready to go. The motor has NO oil in it.
My question is , how do I get the oil pressure up when first cranking it without damaging anything?

I would just start it, but not rev it up until you see pressure. If you're not comfortable with that, simply disconnect the 2-wire connectors from each of the 8 COPs and then spin the starter for 30 seconds or so. After that, reconnect the COPs, then start the engine.
