oil leak
Changed my oil last night and now I have a oil leak, it is coming from the area around the filter. I tried another filter and it is still leaking. I did some research and I think it is the oil filter cooling adapter or oil filter adapter?
I really dont know the difference between the parts

There is a gasket between the adapter and block that I have seen leak. I had to replace on on a 4.6L Cougar and 32V 4.6L Mark VIII. The 5.4L uses the same thing. Felpro makes them.
How bad is the leak? Can you see where it is actually coming from when it is idling?

I think you nailed it. I had the same problem a few years ago on my Mark VIII, I was hoping it was a bad pressure sender but it was the gasket.
