Oversized Tires... Rubbing is a Width problem, not a height problem....
No?
lol
When trying to decide on what size tires to go with, than any rubbing concerns would be with the width of the tire and rims and not so much the diameter?
Is that why 33/12.5/15 are less wide than say,,,,,325/60/15's????
With heighth, the main concern is with wheel travel and room for proper suspension absorption, right?
Does anyone know the widest tire and rim set that can be installed on a 94 F150 4x2 w/o a lift, and with a 4" lift?
Just tryen to get this tire/rims thing down pat....
Thanks

Yes, he is correct,
stock 4x2= 31/10.5/15
4" lift = 33/12.5/15 with slight rub on the radius arm at full turn, but it isn't a big deal.

"the slight rub can be eliminated with a typical 10 inch wide wheel."
Chris - would you explain this to me? I have a '95 F150 4x4 302 5spd with plans for 2" leveling coils in front. I am trying to decide between 32-11.50's on 15x8 rims or 325-60's on 15x10 rims. I would rather put the shorter wider tires on but thought I would have a problem with rubbing on the arms. any thoughts? thanks. ron.

I'm running 35X12.50 - 15's on my 89 Bronco. 5" of suspension
lift and 8 1/2" wheels. Had a slight tire rub problem on one side. All I did was adjust the steering stops. Quick fix, cheap, and saves
you from overstressing the power steering pump turning the wheels too far.
