If it's a V8 and there are 2 hold down studs in the middle of each valve cover (instead of along the sides) you have a Ford 292 Y-block - very common, otherwise, it could be anything.
Post all the info on the door tag too and someone will decode it for you.
As for the bed, is the cab and bed one piece (uni-body) or if they are seperate do the lines of the bed match the lines of the cab (the factory bed didn't match)?

EDIT: Either give this thread some time and NUMBERDUMMY will find it and figure this all out for you or start a new thread called "VIN decode please" and mention the pics.

If you look on the block, adjacent to the starter, the bare block casting number is located there. This is what you'll find: D1VE-6015-AB, AB1, or AB2.
but i did find this maybe it will help ID the motor if not it'll still be nice to know what it is D5VE-9425-A3E.
The engine is a 460 from circa 1975 thru 1978.
ID Number: D5VE-9425-A3E = Ford part number: D6VZ-9424-A .. 460 4V Intake Manifold.
Application:
1975/78 LTD/Mercury Marquis/Lincoln Town Car.
1975/76: Torino/Montego/Cougar/T-Bird/Mark IV.
1976/78: F100/350 & E250/350.
The 460 engine was not factory installed in F100/350's till 1973.

The VIN and the info off the Warranty Plate listed above: From the pics in your gallery, none of it matches the truck you have.
It's possible that a previous owner replaced the left door with one off a 1965 F100.
The info decodes to a: Black 1965 F100 Custom Cab Styleside Pickup with a 8' bed, 352 2V, red interior, assembled in Mahwah NJ.
The grille on your truck is from a 1962. The hood side emblem was used 1961/62. But after 40 + years, who knows what year it really is.
Hopefully, this will help...
1961/62: The Warranty Plate is not on the drivers side door. It's riveted to the inside of the glove box door.
Take a look, see what you find. Also look on the registration, see if the VIN listed there matches the one you posted above.

Sam Fear: 1961/64 Y blocks (292's) use a different cylinder head, with a valve cover that uses 8 bolts around the perimeter of the cover to retain it.
1954/60 Y blocks (239/256/272/292/312) use a different head/valve cover that uses two studs/nuts to retain it.
The tail lights are round.
Numberdummy, thanks for all the info knowing the motor is gonna help ... so basically what your saying is the truck is def not a '61 it could be a '62 or a '65
Would the grill and hood emblem both be changeable to a '65 (basically would it be possible for someone to dress this truck up with parts from a '62 if it is a '65?)
Thank You for your help I'm going to look in the glove box for the info but im pretty sure its not their i only glanced when i was looking around it but i may have missed it so i'll look again

What is the Vehicle ID Number (VIN) that is listed on your registration? This is the definite answer to what year your truck is, what engine it had, etc.
Did you look on the inside of the glovebox door for the Warranty Plate (W/P).
That plate also has the VIN on it.
If a 1961/62, the W/P was there originally, not on the left door face below the latch.
Solid one piece front axle: 1961/64 / Twin-I-Beam = 1965/66 (2WD).
The hood is the same 1961/66.
The hood front emblem is the same shape 1961/66.
1961/64's are identical, the same one was used on 1965/66 6 bangers.
1965/66's with a 352 = V8 emblem.
1961/63: The trucks that have a separate Styleside bed use the same bed as was used 1957/60. It has round taillights.
This bed was not used after 1963, except on 4WD's and F350's.
It's possible this truck was wrecked at some time, the owner then installed a used front end off a 1961/62, swapped the 1961/63 bed.
But until you post the VIN as found on your registration, who really knows what it is.
I thought I had looked at everything, but I missed the obvious.
The frame horns and front bumper changed in 1964, so it's gotta to be a 1961/63.
Look on the passenger side top of the frame rail about center of it. The VIN is here...its about parallel with where the generator would be if you looked at it from the side of the truck which is around a foot forward or so of the main engine front cross member...
I dont have my VIN decoder, but the last 6 numbers and they WILL be numbers will tell you what year and what month the truck was assembled.
Also, IF your truck IS original as far as the glovebox door...THAT IS WHERE THE WARRANTY PLATE IS!!
Compare the frame number to the glovebox door and that will confirm the codes of the truck, etc.
