i am so ashamed to ask this,How do the rear cab arm brackets go on my frame? Small end up towards the top of the frame rail? Also how do you manage to get the new arm in with the new rubber bumper? I have had them off for quite a while and can't remember how they go. Old age creeping up on me. Pictures would be nice if anyone has one.
You have to put the rubber bumper in first; if you are in front of your truck facing it hold the arm up and it should have the holes facing the outside ( this would be the driver side as you face the truck and ) would be the passenger side if I'm not mistaken. If you check Midfifty website they have pics & tips on installing the arms. You can google midfifty f-100 parts.
right, install so the flat side is against the chassis, cab bolt first.
install the rubber bumber, then push the bottom in and insert the lower bolt.
I called MF to ask about this in the spring, and they said to do it bottom first, but its near impossible to get the arm past the top stop in the pocket that way..
I am grateful for the info on the arms, thanks one and all. I also need to know which way the bracket on the frame goes. The small end at the top of the rail or the large end. I.m not sure if i have mine upside down or not.
