Low boost??

Low boost??
Need some help figuring out what if anything is wrong with my truck. With my edge evo (I know i'm trying to get a dp) turned up to race i can only get 19 pounds of boost wot on a pretty good grade. I have never seen it above 19 pounds even on extreme. So do i have a boost leak possibly i checked all the intercooler boots both sides and they are tight just don't know where to look next.

Isn't that about normal? I know when I have my truck on the DP stock setting, even with single shots, it will only push about 15 lbs. Was it ever higher before? On my 80e I can hit about 28lbs, and in 140, I can hit 30 psi.

You can run the EGT up to 1500 w/o much concern, BUT for only a short time. I used to let off at 1300 * but when I was live tuning with Jody he said it's ok to run that high as long as you don't hold it there long, as it for a few seconds or so. I on;y get that hot if I'm smokin' a riceburner.

Are you sure your boost line isn't crimped or bent anywhere. Maybe the fitting needs a look at to make sure its tightly sealed and seated. Just a thought.

First off the tempurature is dependent on whether you are pre or post turbo as far as how high is safe to go and second if you are not getting much boost check your up-pipes. A leak on the up-pipes will allow gases that would spin the turbo to escape preventing boost. Look for black soot around the up-pipe connections.
