windsor.....

got the top end back together.... and all the timing done... got her running and need to adjust the carb.... i believe it is around a 69 motor, does anyone know what heads are on this motor

you should've checked the casting #s, I think theyre on the bottom of the head. My D0oe heads take the big spark plugs, they are from 1969/70

mine are the big plugs.... and it takes the 69 style starter too.... ive heard the actual 79 heads are ****, and the older ones are better... is this true??

Both the older and newer heads are bettter than the smog era heads.. but they're all crap compared to what's available in the aftermarket these days.

well budget is short being i am still in highschool.... cant go blow 1400 dollars on aluminum...... but thanks guys...

also who makes a cheap set of headers.... im not too fond of the factory manifolds

From: MI..."near" Dearborn...

casting numbers...

pull the valve covers off...

then check around the front of the heads near the mating surface

of the block...
