Looking at new tires. Wanting to go a size up to the 285/75 16. Anybody running these with rubbing the wheel well? My truck is 2 wd with a 2" coil spacer in the front. Will these give me another 1-2" of height? Thanks,
I have a 2WD with NO coil spacers. Been running Bridgestone Revos - 285/75-16's since April... approximately 8-10K miles with no rubbing at all. They look really good, too! Lock-to-lock on turning tight... absolutely no rubbing at all.
If it sits now, like the 4wds do, it really should not. I ran those for a while, and it would barely touch, and only when new, my oem ford hard plastic mud flaps. I tied them back though, to make it stop.
They don't rub on a 4x4 with no lift. My 2wd came with 265's, and it looks like the 285's are only a little over an inch taller than those. With the spacers up front, I'd guess you'll be fine.
Hopefully someone who's done this can tell you for sure.
I have 315/70/16's on stock wheels but I do have a 2.5" level kit from tuff country also. I have a little rub on full lock left and right. I don't go off road much so don't have any info on that.
I have 305's on stock Lariat rims and even before the leveling kit and 4 inch block in the back, I had no issues what-so-ever. Even with my plow on and a ton and a quarter of salt in the back last season. With the 2wd and the leveling kit 285's should be ok assuming that your springs are in good shape.
I drive pretty hard, but I got a little less I believe then 40k miles out of that exact tire, with my driving habits, and a 9k # truck. They work really well in the winter, and on wet roads. I really like that tire.
The Duelers A/T Revos looked good but at about 40-50% tread two of them broke the belts. I think the P/O towed some heavy horse trailers with the truck and overloaded those D Rated tires. I ended up going with some brand new Michelin M/S 285s I got for 400 dollars mounted.

Really? I have 295's now with no rubbing at all, was going to get 305's after my 2.5" leveling kit but if I can get 315's with no to little rubbing I might go for that. Is the 2.5" the only thing done to your truck? stock rims?
