2wd front leveling spacers

I know this question has probably been asked in some form or another before, but I was wondering if it is possible to put a 1-2 inch spacer under my front coils on my 2wd. I swear i've seen this done. I think they just unbolted that bolt that holds the spring to the i beam and put a spacer in there and tightened it down. Does this seem safe, and will it make my tires wear uneven, or can that be corrected with caster/camber adjustments? Thanks for the input, it'll make the 31's look nicer up under there.

there are two options you can choose from, 2 inch daystar polyurethane spacers that sit under the spring for your lift, or leveling coils (preferably skyjacker) they both run about the same. either way your going to need 2 degree cam correctors which you can get from skyjacker or superlift. i know alot about this because i actually have the spacers AND the coils. its better to go with the leveling coils because it replaces the factory coils which are probably worn out and sagging. they give the truck a better ride and the springs help with the overall appearance. you can get them from 4wheelparts (thats where i got mine) bill was like 140 bucks with cam correctors and springs. the springs are easy to put in but the cam correctors arent so easy if you don't know much about mechanics. good luck, if you have any more questions just ask me, ive gone through hell lifting my 2wd, 3 inch body, no lift in back, 4 inch suspension in the front. :-X23 by the way the coils will come with some add a leafs, you can just sell those and get some money back. good luck

If the coils are about the same price as the spacers, well thats the way i might go. Would it be a good idea to just buy some 1-2 inch lift springs seperate, that way I wouldnt have to hassle with the leafs? I know several companies that make them, its just a question of quality. This all sounds good until my cheap side kicks in. Is there any way i can fabricate some? I am experienced in that area, and could easily torch some out of plate for free. I dont know if the daystar spacers have some type of lip to hold the spring, but i could even mill that into some metal spacers. I plan on getting another truck sometime soon (yeah right!) and dont want to put a whole lot of money in it. I just dropped some college classes, so i have a little time on my hands. Thanks for the response.

email this guy, idctd(No Email Addresses In Posts!), he has a name on this site (az4x4f150), i bought my spacers from him with the 2wd drive studs. he is an authorized daystar dealer and can get them for you in a week or so. be sure to tell him you have 2wd and you need the 2wd studs. i would go ahead and and get the polyurethane because it has been proven (by me) that the ride is great and the lift is 2 inches.

one more thing,
i jacked up the front and i like the looks of one inch better than two. i regularly haul and pull stuff, so i want the back up a little bit. i can make the one inch spacer, but is the 2 degree cam correcter fine, or will it be too much? or do i even need it at all.
thanks.

Because of the steering setup, it really should be aligned. the tech can tell you what degree you need. You can get these from any good parts store, not Auto Bone. They just look at you and say "Do you want an alternator with that?"
