Another Backspacing question

I know there has been a lot of questions of backspacing but I couldn't find the answer I was looking for. I want to get a set of 17x8 wheels but the ones that I like have backspacing of 4.5" Will these fit inside of the wheel wells? Or will they stick out? I don't want my wheels sticking out.
Thanks,
Don

They will stick out. I have 4.7 on my truck and they stick out a lot, but I LOVE that look...

Also, mine are 20x10, so they might not stick out as much.....

Thanks for the reply. I do like the look but I worry about throwing rocks and dirt at the nice clean paint. I don't want to be chipping my paint as I drive down the road. So at 4.7 your wheels would actually not stick out as far as the 4.5 but being that I want 8" wide wheels they wouldn't stick out as far as your 10" wide wheels. So it would probably be about the same as yours? Does that sound about right?

If you're just worried about paint chips and dirt you may want to consider buying some fender flares if the tires stick out too much. A good set will go a long way to keep the paint nice and clean. IMO they make the truck look worlds better too.

The 8inch ones will be a little bit shorter sticking out than mine
