backspacing and wheel questions!

I have a 2002 Edge and have cranked the torsion bars to clear 32's. They are on my stock 15x7 wheels. I was gonna put on some 15x10's or 15x8's. I, however know nothing about wheels backspacing or anything. The guy I was gonna get the wheels from has the 15x10's on his truck and the don't rub or anything. What is backspacing, and what size wheel should I go with. Will it stick out that much? What backspacing should I look for? Thanks. Any help would be appreciated.

backspacing and wheel questions!

I recently worked on a Nissan where we did a 3" body and got 3" out of the tortion bars and put 35s in. The main problem you may have is with the wheel well. If the tires rub, you will have to take some off and grind it down. The other main problem, will be hitting the frame when you turn, if so you will have to put stops in.
