Any problems getting the 5/8 hose over the 3/4" fitting under the intake?

If you're talking to me, the answer is 'no'. I worked the ends of the hose a little with a pliers to soften them up a bit, and also warmed the hose up by sitting it next to a heater for a while.

PS- My problem turned out to be the #6 injector, not a HPO system leak.

Hey silver, I was reading this thread again and have a few questions. I see how you plugged the hole where the EGR cooler connected on the intake side next to the anodized elbow. However, what did you do where the other end of the EGR cooler was connected? Did you put a similair block off plate there. Were mods necessary to hook the other end of the hose up? I have an 04 truck, is it true that I do not have a scoop in the up pipe? If not, can that whole step be skipped? Great writeup.

I have a question about how you attached the 90* elbow fitting to the manifold. I can't see it clearly. Did you weld it, or were you able to tap the hole for a 3/4" thread and screw it in?

I had hoped to just tap it with 3/4'' NPT but it was too big, so I just tigged it in there.

Damn, I was hoping for a tap. I can't tig weld, and those who can are closed on weekends.

Just FYI i paid 190 bucks shipped for my RCD EGR delete on ebay. But nice DIY job, wish i could weld that good

This is an old thread, the price of EGR deletes have dropped dramatically over the past year. A year ago you couldn't find a kit for under $450.
