[updated:LAST EDITED ON 15-Nov-02 AT 02:51 PM (EST)]i just ordered my wheels and tires 33" xterrain's on 16x10" xtreme alloys. i talked to national spring about a 4" lift which includes 4 new leaf spring packs, and also levels the truck.
MY QUESTION IS HAVE ANY OF YOU EVER DONE BUISNESS WITH NATIONAL SPRING? IF SO HOW DO RATE THEIR PRODUCT AND KNOWLEDGE? IS $1,100 DOLLARS TO MUCH FOR A 4" LIFT?

That price seems reasonable for your truck. I know a few people that have National Prerunner springs on the back of their rangers and they cost about $500.00. Prerunner springs raise the rear up about 5 inches but give you a very soft ride. After you install the prerunner springs you can no longer haul heavy items in the back.
THANKS... THE SPRING PACK THAT I'M TALKING ABOUT HAS A PROGRESSIVE LOAD RATING SO I CAN STILL HAUL HEAVY LOADS AND HAVE A SMOOTH RIDE LOADED OR UNLOADED

THANKS MAN GOOD INFO... THE LADY AT NATIONAL SPRING TECH DEPT. SAID I HAVE TO HAVE 6" OF LIFT TO RUN 35" TIRES BUT FROM WHAT I HAVE HEARD IN THE PAST AND THE HEIGHT MY TRUCK NOW I DON'T THINK 35S WOULD BE A PROBLEM. AND A LITTLE EXTRA CLEARANCE ON 33'S DOESN'T HURT.

I have national rears on my 79....they flex really well....but i wouldnt deal with those people again
kind of reminds me of 4wheelpart's reputation and customer service...check into your local spring shop
good idea like 85351ho said.... go to your local spring shop and talk to them and see what they say. that is almost certainly your cheapest route for materials, and they will most likely give you a fair price on installation if you want to go that route. I had a 3 inch lift done to the back of my 95 f150 for about a 140 bucks at a spring shop, that included materials and labor. I have never seen them xterrains on a vehicle before, but they look like a pretty sturdy tire with great traction. good luck!!!
