Was there ever a steering stabilizer installed from the factory on the 2000 Super duties? I have a bracket in the front end that is just there and was wondering if that was for a steering stabilizer.
If not, I would like to install one. Has anyone ever done it and how easy is it to do? Can anyone reccomend a stabilizer to use that is reasonably priced?
If the bracket is there, it was probably an option in one of the 4x4 packages.
I have a Ranch stablizer on my truck. They are super easy to install, takes about 30 minutes I guess. Pics are below in my sig. If you need close ups let me know.

You can see a good picture of a factory type installed steering stabilizer here: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/7...er-pics-3.htmlPost #34
I had the Rancho one with the boot, but recently started leaking. I now have a Monroe one on there. You can install one, with the proper length bolts, in the existing brackets. I believe they are 12mm thread diameter, but a 1/2" bolt may work. Any other questions, feel free to ask.
