wow, i was as excited as a little kid at disney land.......... had to do some deep breathing to keep myself calm.
really, the sling i made worked very well. no damage to anything and it went very quick and smooth.
so it's pretty dang tall (but only about 3" clearance between oil pan and front axle. and it's sitting about 1" higher in the front than i'd like (i hope the weight of the everything left to install will drop it down)
Wow!!!
The truck just keeps looking tougher and tougher! I can't wait to see a front clip on it. I wouldn't worry about the 1" in the front, I'll be the rest of the sheetmetal will take care of most of it.
Now wipe that silly grin off your face and get back to work
Bobby
Your truck is amazing. I really like the color as well. Your doing a great job. Shop looks great to. What is the ceiling height in your garage. I have been thing about putting a "I" beem accrossed mine. My heighth is 12 foot tall. I would have to brace under the 2 X 4 sidewalls as my block goes up 8' then 4' side walls on top of that. I would like to be able to move side to side and up and down like you are.
Thanks for the compliments,
yeah, my garage is also one of my on-going "projects", i actually took about 2 years off "buying parts/working on cars" and built the garage about 8 years ago.
bobby; thats funny, i think i fell asleep with a ****ty grin....
ksmith; my ceiling height is about 12' (with an 8' 2nd floor)
52-f3, that truck is starting to shine! I know your getting pumped up! will it fit through garage door when done? nice shop.
yeah, that door behind the truck is about 88" wide and the truck will be about 74" at the bed. also, the other side has a 12' x 12" sliding door for emergencies......
Man--It looks like you are a real good millwright---and know how to move equipment!! I have done the same thing all my life. I also installed my cab today on 56f100 no.2 and hope I end up as nice as your truck is!! Bill
