i have a 97 f-150 extended cab,and i have small cracks starting....from the windows pushing out i guess? i just starting looking on here,if anyone knows someting about this can you let me no?

DON'T FEEL BAD 97 TO 99 FORD 150'S HAVE THIS PROBLEM. I'M NOT SAYING ALL BUT ALOT OF THEM. I HAVE A 98 150 SUPER CAB 4X4 SAME PPROBLEM. IF IT 'S UNDER 3YR'S OR 36,000 MILES FORD WILL REPLACE IT. MATTER OF FACT MINE IS GETTING THREE DOORS AND A TAILGATE FOR THE RUST PROBLEM.

Read the 1999 news in the news section of our site for an article on this and also do a search for prior postings in this forum. This has been discussed in depth and technical service bulletin numbers posted for it. :-)

Mine also has them,I've held the inside door
handle in the open position and closed the door . I was not surprised to see that the top of
my doors contact the body before the latch and
main door assembly. I believe this causes these cracks. If I ever replace the doors I
hopefully can adjust the door or modify the mounting of the weather strip to stop this problem. Welcome to the world of F-150's,,,65

it will stop the door cracks???
