molding around headlight!

i have to replace the molding around the headlight - any tips?
1997f350 psd

Remove the batteries, and be prepared to work on feel instead of site. The bolts to them are hidden in holes in the fenderwell and core support. Just take your time and do pleanty of feeling around. When you have all the nuts lose, it will pretty much fall out.

There are two nuts on each side in the core support that can be easily removed if you remove the battteries you will have to feel for them

Ive found that you do NOT need to remove the battery(s) to do this, and in some cases, you may have to do such.

I am not resposible for thrown tools that break or damage done to thyself

Good idea! I think I'll do the same. I wish I had saved all the ones from Geoff's site before to took it down.

Its funny ,,I have done this H L R&I ,maybe 30 or 40 times ,,never thought to take any pictures ,,the only hard part is trying to explain how the HL bezel is held in place ,cause you cant see the bolts with the batt's in there..

I'll be doing it again next week ,,have a fender to replace on a 97...

BTW ,,I use an angled pair of snap ring pliers to remove the clips holding the headlight in

No problem at all, JK I dont always say tha origin of what I post, mostly because I also dont remember.
