$1,000 add ons

If you had $1,000 burning a hole in your pocket what would you recommend as a first performance add on for an 08 King Ranch?

I live in a desert climate but don't need sand tyres.

Thanks.

Edge Programmer
Volant CAI
Custom Exhaust with Magnaflow muffler/tips

that should be roughly $1,000 for all three

I'd skip the CAI.....

Weathertech floor liners
Maybe a programmer if you're really not happy with performance
Exhaust if you want some noise....

Some sort of cover for the rear....rollup or fiberglass

I second Tylus if you want just performance.

If you want looks as well you could take away one of the performance mods and get a leveling kit to make the truck look better.

If you live in the desert then a big old brush guard with the mesh over the grill to help keep sand and dirt out of there. I know it makes a big difference on gravel roads and trails here. Makes it look mean too.

Only if you know how to put them in yourself. Unfortunately if you are like me you have to pay some overpriced mechanic to do it for you

Not really overpriced if you don't know how to do them yourself.

This was the first mod i did to my truck for looks wise and i loved it.Truck sits level now. I bought it brand new off of e-bay all it was was blocks that sat on the top of my struts. Just study it for awhile and you should be able to do it. Even with the basic skills.

Edge - $400 with free shipping

Volant - I paid $279 with free shipping 2 yrs ago...bought mine from Jusnes Modified (site sponsor)

Maggie Muffler - under $100, and then about $100-200 for it to be welded in and the extra pipe ran for dual exhaust.

Maggie Exhaust Kit - I paid $479 for kit #16614 from Bob Jusnes with free shipping 2 yrs ago as well...that $739 is way overpriced
