I understand what you are saying about keeping close watch on EGT's and what not. I really am looking for something that doesn't mount to the pillar. Two main reasons are I dont want any additional obstruction of sight and I dont want anything else to draw attention to the truck from a potential thief.

Some use a single pod steering column mount for the gauge swith. That is where mine is.

A thought for mounting gauges under the dash.

Thanks, I do also have a 2 gauge pillar mount for the Pyro and tranny temp. Not as much view obstruction as you might think but go with what's comfortable for you.

The triple gauge pillar really doesn't block your view a whole lot, you get used to it very fast, but you said you're concerned with thieves. Not sure how to get around that, if they want your truck, they're gonna take it anyways lol....Here's another view
