hpop non serviceable plug question

hpop non serviceable plug question
I got my truck back up and running after removing the hpop to install the flat gasket under it after the 3 orings on the oil lines and back plug didn't stop the leak. Well the flat gasket I changed didn't stop the leak either. While I had the hpop off, of course I cleaned it up good before I reinstalled it. Now I can see that the oil is coming from the non serviceable plug I have been reading about. I called my local International dealer with the part # I got from another post and they have the o ring kit that contains this o ring n/a from Ford in stock for $43.00. My question is, is there something behind this plug that causes this plug to leak. I dodn't want to stick $43.00 in a pump that is in need of replacement because something is worn that caused this seal to go bad. For example..... A seal is leaking...replace the seal to stop the leak only to have to seal go out again quickly because the loose bearing behind it wasn't replaced that was actually causing the seal to go bad......I don't want to temporarily fix it, I want to stop it and forget about it. And of course, is there any place to get the seal or seal kit with this seal for less that $43.00? Thanks

Oil leak stopped! The leak was indeed coming from the non serviceable plug in the hpop, and thanks to our good friend Guzzle92, I was able to get the part I needed without buying a $43.00 kit to get 1 single o ring. He was kind enough to send me a spare he had left over. I removed the hpop, but the plug came right out without using any heat. It seemed to be very loose and the thread lock had already let go. I was careful that if the plug showed any signs of resistance I had the torch handy to heat the plug up before trying to go any farther. It came right out, so I cleaned the threads in the hole and cleaned the threads of the plug with brake cleaner, put on the o ring, applied lock tite on the first three threads, and reinstalled and tightened it up. After driving about 50 miles....no leaks. Thanks FTE and Guzzle. Without the knowledge I have learned here and the friends I have met, this would have been a much more costly and difficult problem to solve.
