Lookie lookie what followed me home today

New to the board but not to ford trucks. I had a 71 F250 daily driver, super clean, sold it for a 97 F150, Now I got a 2000 f250 7.3 that towed home, my 65 f250. More pics to come. I'll post what I find that it needs. Let me know what you normaly change out for a better daly driver.

For daily use ditch the single line master cylinder for a dual circuit one at a minimum. Disc brake swap on a twin I beam is easy if you want to take safety a bit further. Other than that (and modern tires) I like driving mine just fine. Only other change I plan to make is adding a sway bar.

Those are the same mirrors I have, and have never seen them anywhere else before your truck!

If you do a little searching here, you'll soon find out, power steering, power disc brakes are simple easy upgrades.

Tearing into it. Put a new fuel pump in it and found the carb is leaking like a sive. The carb is a holly 4412 is this a good carb for a rebuild or should I look for something else. It's just going to be a daily round town putter.

Tell us more about what's in it and we'd be able to better advise you.... What is the engine size, type/model trans, rear end gears, does it have or do you plan on A/C or PS....

Well its got a 352 y block, and c6 trans. I don't know what gears are in the rear but ws told it was rebuilt not to long ago, I'll find out what they are.It has an A/C on it, old school monkywards unit. I dont know if it works yet but the fan blows.
As for plans I need to change out the brake master cylinder from the stock one.
But for right now I don't know how far I'll go with it. It dependes on how fast I get back to work. I've been out of work for 5 months now and if I don't get work fast this will be is my only ride.....
