Help with axle ID

I know........another axle ID thread ! I have spent 2 hrs looking for the answer and i am still not sure what I have. I am looking at an axle in a 1986 F350 2wd DRW. Vin= 1FDJF371XGNA40694 AXLE TAG = V190B & 10 10 2 6A29. What is the ratio, Dana 60, 70 or sterling? I am getting different answers from different sources. Thanks for the help!

If it has the oil fill plug in the back cover, it's a Dana. If it has no fill plug in the back cover it's a Ford/Sterling.

The VIN won't tell you much, but the sticker on the door jamb will have a rearend code. The axle tag should tell you what you have, but I dont have the decoder for that.

The only other thing I know is that if this is a chassis/cab, the rearend will not fit under the dually pickup. The dually pickup rearend is 4 inches wider.

Sorry I left out the axle code from the door (=65). I will look at it again tomorrow regarding the oil plug. I would be putting it in a SRW truck.

Code 65 is a Ford axle with 4.10's.

No fill plug so I guess it is a sterling.
