Post tranny problems

I have a 95 F350 diesel and on my last trip back home the overdrive light on the gear selector started flashing. It would not go into overdrive at all, but I still had drive so I was able to get it home.
The shifting was not right, it would rev to about 2500 RPM and I would back off in order for it to shift into second, if I slowly increased my speed it would shift into drive and would run at just shy of 3000 RPM on the freeway.
After I got home it seems to stop shifting at second gear. In drive past second gear the engine races but the truck seems to be in nuetral.
Any ideas?

Pat

OD light flashing means there are codes stored. Have the codes read for some indication what might be wrong. Without the codes you are shooting in the dark.

The codes will give you a idea on the area that failed. I would think that something let go inside the tranny and it will have to be rebuilt.
