yeah that gunk five minute flush works really well, I had used it a year or so before I tore down my 351m and it was really clean. Next time I won't waste my money on it though, it looked like diesel it smelled like diesel, it was red like diesel, next time I will just buy diesel.
Ok, DO NOT FILL it up with diesel or kerosene, I have bought crappy oil, changed the filter and oil and ADDED 1QUART of diesel WITH THE ENGINE OIL and then run it up to temp and then drain. This works well, by NO MEANS should you run just diesel or kero!!!!
I have also done the ATF, but in short time I think diesel/kero WITH the oil works better, thatis IF you are going to do a rebuild.
Well I put the motor flush in (Gunk) and it said for bad gunk build up you would have to do it again. My rocker arms are pretty bad so I belive I'm going to take them off and take my push rods out and clean them good. It did help some by breaking stuff lose. And it made my truck smoke to, I quess it got pass the rings. I read my manual and it said that there was no adjustment when putting the rocker arms back on (is this right) Just want to make sure. Thanks
I am a BIG believer in Sea Foam. I have used it in several vehicles and have even driven about 500 miles or so with it in the crankcase. It will not harm your engine. Right now I have a car with 167K miles on it and 5 months ago I had to replace a intake gasket and when it was removed it looked like a new engine. And that is because every 15k miles I add a bottle before my oil change. When it comes out it is black as black, that is good it is doing it's job. I'm going to put it in my truck coming up witch only has 82k before I change the oil. I replaced the valve cover gaskets this weekend and there was a little sludge in there so it's time. Like I say I swear by it. Oh and that car I was talking about, it's a 94 Z-28 and I have a mechanical oil pressure gauge and it holds steady at 50 psi.
