another high idle mod question.

ok i have searched and searched this site and cant find anything on the '04 6.0L PSD being able to do the high idle. i have seen it for the '03 and '05-'06 but nothing for the '04 models. does anyone know for sure if it can be done? and if you have done it to a '04 SD. thanks guys i know i am a newb but i am loving this site. thanks alot.

The 03 to 04 instructions are the same, the 05 to 07 are the same. Before you get to carried away with wiring, try putting power the trace wire with your truck in park, e brake set ect and make sure it works. sometimes the color code of the wire is different, also there are two options, 1 is for battery protect, based on voltage, 1 raises RPM to run accesories off the tranny, either one works if in park, with e brake on, but you should make sure they DONT work without park and e brake on for safety as at 1250 RPM, it will drive out your garage if it engages without the safety features. (whether there is a door or not!)

I did this mod on my '04 and the instructions in the tech folder were perfect! The wire by the e-brake may be taped up so just look really close. I used this type of switch which has a little light on it when its on. I found the switch at Pepboys.
