This is what I get for letting a friend that "knew what he was doing" pull the carb, and try to put it back on. Now I have a c-clip that has no home and the throttle plate won't close. Nice. I'm a little pissed off right now. I appreciate the responses and the pics, but it's time for bed. I was supposed to go over a guys house tomorrow to help me with the brakes, power steering, and lights but that's not happening.

That is right, it is the choke. I would convert it to a manual choke, electric chokes can be a PITA. I always went to a manual choke on my Mustangs.

That C-clip may be the clip to hold the transmission kick down linkage on the the little stud. That is if you have a automatic?
