Got a thump! What is it?

Been getting this thump here recently on my 01'.

It happens on initial pull out in 1st gear, noticeable but, usually on hills or if pulling out hard. Happens again in 2nd while accellerating at anything above 1/4 throttle (feel the shifter jerk back towards the seat). If pulling out in 1st or accelerating in 2nd gradually it feels fine. Don't feel it in 3rd - 5th. Went under and made sure rear U bolts were tight and they were.

Anybody got any ideas or had this happen to them? What should I check next? I'm thinking either the center pin on the rear leafs sheared (crossing fingers it didn't) or maybe trans mount, I dunno?

Need some advice/help guyz, thanks!!!

DITTO.... pull the u-joint, slip apart the drive shaft spline from the yoke, lube well, reinstall. I've even seen where someone drilled/tapped the yoke and installed a zerk fitting to enable regular greasing without having to tear it down.

That's interesting. My truck has 257,000 on it and I've never noticed anything. I'll have to go drive it and watch for it more closely.

Wasn't the trans mount. Gonna yank the drive shaft and check the slip yoke like stated above. Hope that's the problem.
