Bad typing finger! Either dropped a digit or my mileage wasn't as good as I thought.

With the 5-star tune do you get two tunes flashed into the vehicle?
For example:
A high mileage tune and then a towing tune when in Tow/Haul mode?
In addition, with the tunes do you loose any features of the Tow/Haul mode (late shifting, grade braking, etc.)?

Mike can explain it better than I can, but it is just one tune loaded at a time. You loose no TH features. When not in TH it shifts up sooner and holds gears longer without down shifting. Still pulls better than stock at the lower rpm. Drop down to 45 and it will easily pick up speed with light throttle while staying in OD. BTW, I'm running the 93 octane tune. Haven't tried the other 2 Mike sent since I'm very pleased with this one.

Idle pulse width on stock V10 is around 4.10 Ms. On coast down, its 2.14 Ms.

The biggest problem with manipulating every last parameter(esp the injector shutoff),is that every vehicle responds slightly different to those adjustments, and it's almost a custom tune situation with many hours spent getting it just right.

I live on what are essentially 4 volcanoes. A lot of my driving is spent either climbing the "hill" or coasting down it. For example, today I went to an area right on the coast. I went from 2700' at my house to sea level in about 14 miles. My injectors only shut off once or twice. It would have been nice if they shut off more. I mean I didn't really need them as I was just basically falling down a hill for about 10 miles.

My Scanguage showed that I got 25.6MPG during that trip. (Once it leveled off I had to use the gas for about 3.5 miles) I wonder if, with my particular driving conditions, the gains could be a bit more than minimal.

I should say that I'm not real worried about MPG but I do want a custom tune. The canned Superchips tune I have is rather...well...generic.

I just don't know if fiddling with this parameter can be done without putting my truck on a dyno and if even getting a custom tune like you and Mmaxed describe can be done on my truck without it being strapped to a dyno.

Only one tune can be flashed at one time. Tunes can be tailored for economy when not in tow/haul mode. Tow/Haul mode functions as good if not better than factory with modified torque converter and shift strategies.

Monsta I dont think one would need to put a vehicle on the dyno to alter these functions. Would it help sure it would but it can be done if you have the patience to try different revision of tunes. As mentioned already it would help economy but how much is the unknown factor. Of course with you coming down the sides of Volcano's you might pick up more than most
