ohk got out this mornin and i cant get the map sensor out! i pulled the red thing down but it wont come out. Also now the 3.2% and 5% is moving to other cylinders like now cyl5 is like .5% and goin to 1% and just fluctuating. Yal figure everything still good?
Do you still have the Delo from last time? How many miles on the Motorcraft? If the knocking was there the whole time the Delo was in, I'd send the Delo sample in so you get a better idea on the count of wear metals. If the motorcraft has too few miles on it, there may be evidence of wear metals, but they may not have reached the point where they would stand out yet. If you've got the money laying around, you could always send in a sample of both.

I don't want it to seem like we abandoned you but I don't have much more to add. I don't know what problem you are having pulling the MAP sensor??? It has a hose and an electical connector. Is that the red thing you are having trouble with? It is fairly easy to remove.
Again, the knock on decel is bad. Are you absolutely sure it is not driveline or suspension related?
ohk i undid the diablo and now the map sensor is reading!? i noticed something wasnt right cause i got 35 miles on and the fuel gauge has already moved..not normal... im not absolutley sure its not driveline.. im gonna get it on the lift and look tomorrow would it be safe to go ahead and label the problem with cyl. contrib. test on 3&8 as caused by CPS? i noticed today that my tach. no longer moves until motor is fully started.. use to it would creep up as it started
I just started a new thread about the difference in gray vs black CPS. You can see what difference the black one made on my truck accodring to the scanner. I ran the gray CPS for 45,000 miles with no issues. I think you'll be safe ignoring that for the time being.
ohk i changed oil today and it runs a little better!! no more knock on decel but still a little chatter due to there still bein motorcraft in the hpop( no time to get it out) I also rechecked and its still reading on the cyl contrib and map is still reading voltage... im thinkin the diablo had a hand in some of this also... Im thinking on goin ahead and changing fuel filter monday to mark that off.(bout 12k miles)
