PAO Shortage Squeezes Mobil 1

This could impact RP, Amsoil and others as well.

Texaco told me two years ago, that PAO supplies were tight industry wide, the article says the same thing, so I guess they were'nt fibbing back then!!!!

my local walmart has hardly any mobil one synthetic oil on the shelf.

How much is Sprawlmart selling M1 for and do they usually stock 5w 20? I wanted to buy some for the bosses new car, but I couldn't find any in M1.

Plenty of Moibil-1 in SW Va Wally Worlds!!!!

I've read that Mobil-1, like Castrol, switched it's recipe to use Group-3 base oils & if so, I don't know why there would be any shortage of Mobil-1, must be a local thing.

yeah,not sure if it shortage related or not,but i went to walmart to get oil for my vehicles yesterday so i can get the oil changed in them before it gets real cold,and they had NO m1 of any weight in gallon jugs,and I wasn't paying over $6 a quart for it,so I went with pennzoil platinum. the 5w30 is supposed to be a better oil than m1 5w30 synthetic anyhow,and it was cheaper.
