eot change

Since the weather turned colder my truck has been running rough as crap when cold then when it warms up it runs Ok but not great. First thought was ICP --truck was missing like crazy and tons of white smoke. today I started it up and if felt like it was running on 6 or 7 cylinders, jerking the truck side to side violently, then it finally through a P0198 EOT circuit high low. when the cel light came on the truck smoothed out so I cleared the codes and pulled the plug on the EOT and the truck ran decent(I guess a pre mapped fuel from the PCM?) Harness and connections look good(harness is almost brand new thanks to some furry little creatures.

So I guess that means I should change the sensor? And to change the sensor how do I get rid of the oil in the HPOP?

THanks guys

You need to suck the oil out of it from the little fill hole on the top or the Oil Pressure sender....or
you can pack a rag under it and just let it run out. Be sure to refill it before re-starting. Takes about a quart...

check the pid with a scan tool to see what the sensor is actually showing.
