I did the 24"/22" on mine works better than both 24", as stated my pass. side didn't touch the windshield while parked and caused some skippers on that end
Ahhh, 24/22, hadn't thought of that. I put 24's on both sides couple years ago. Rare that I have has a pax, but no complaints from their side.
Last winter I bought winter blades, the ones that have their assembly covered in a rubber sheath. Worked great below 40 mph. Anything above it and the wind caught that rubber boot and caused it to skip.
Recommendations for good winter blades that don't skip in the breeze?
I love this website. The little tips like this are great. Put on 24" Rain-X Latitudes today. Love it. Pep-Boys has buy one great one free!
24" good, rain-x latitude = bad
Mine have turned my windshield into more of a smudgy POS than an Iphone's screen after 5 minutes of use. Uber disapointment... I want my $40 back and a smudgy POS of a windshield isn't grounds for a refund according to rain-x
I've had good performance from a 24 inch silicone blade I bought on eBay a couple of years ago to test. It's out-lasted two conventional passenger-side blades (so far) and I have just bought a second one to put on my wife's car's driver's side.
Though pricey, I think I'm eventually going to settle on silicone for wiper blade material.
They're PIAA's.
I have no concerns about any additional strain on the motor from using longer blades. The silicone material may actually reduce the stress.
