I am looking at a 2002 Ford F150 Supercrew XLT FX4 with about 55,000 miles on it. I owned a 2004, but what should I look for in a 2002? Thanks for the help in advance
should not have too many problems at 55k miles. before 100k you probably need lower ball joints, rear drive shaft universal joints, fuel filter and spark plugs. If you get it now, change the transmission oil and filter, change the axle oil lube, and fuel filter.
I bought mine at 33000.
Set of coils, couple sets of plugs just to keep it running well, a DPFE, 1 set of tires and tow a large trailer.
Now has 108,000 miles and love it yet.
Motor is still quiet, uses no oil and runs top knoch.
Oil changed every 5000 miles with MotorCraft 5W20 along with an 820S filter.
Not all are this good but you have to be the judge and have a little luck.
