Yes, there are a couple of possibilities..it could have been a Government purchase as the military used these trucks for many years...if its DSO is 83, thats a gov't purchased rig...it would be the last bunch of numbers on the lower line...If its not that, it could have just been a special order from some large business who bought in bulk and wanted their paint color on it.

Most i have seen with no paint code were special order. with a six digit DSO.
Last no stamp i had was a 66 F250 LB CC with a 240 and a COM. built by ford of canada for the GN railroad. Had a metallic olive green paint. And this truck also had a metal tag with the vin and all accessories attached to the firewall (basically a copy of the data plate). I have only see one other of those.
The Gentleman that owns the XL now owns this truck.
