I have a 94 F-150 Ext Cab 2WD, 4.9L, 4 speed W/OD, 4" Cepek lift, 2" body lift and 3.55 gears. I want to get bigger tires (35X12.5X15) and i am not sure if they will fit, also I am not sure what gear ratio that I need to make it drivable. I am not planning on doing any wheeling, just basiclly for looks. Any help/advice would be appreicated.
Kevin,
The 35s will definitely fit with 6" of lift,(almost anything will fit with 6").You will probably want to run at least 4.10:1 gears, the 35s will sap a lot of your power as well as lower your RPMs.
Jeff
I always wondered what a 2wd would look like with a lift installed? Have you got some pic's on it?
I agree that the 4.10 gears would be a minumum for 35's,even if just for looks. You said you've got a 4spd w/OD? Is it OD in 4th or actually a 5spd? Do you have a low {granny}1st gear? My 88 F150 300 4spd w/low 1 will pull a house on wheels if necessary.Don't know the gear ratio but never wondered because it revs well in all gears, even with 31's.How does that lift look????
Phillip

i thought it was usefully, you know being a good role model for the newbs, so they know searching is ok...
