Drop that K&N and get a 6637, AFE filter(cone filter alone) or an AIS intake system.

There's a reason you're seeing this. More than one member here has had to replace their engine because the K&N flowed more dirt past the filter as well as more air. I'd recommend you check the intake tube going to the turbo ASAP. If you see any signs of dust or dirt in the tube, you'll want to inspect the wheel on the turbo also. If you have dust in the tube, invest in a different filter.
The off the shelf stuff (hypertech, superchips, etc.) will do fine for adding power up to what the stock clutch can handle, but for about the same price you could invest in a DP-Tuner or Tony Wildman chip that is capable of putting down more power than the stock clutch can handle. After all, the stock clutch will wear out at some point, and you might as well upgrade that to when the time comes.
The real question is, how much power do you really want, and what are you willing to spend? If you go with DP or TW, then you can actually have a "live tuning" session where they adjust the chip specifically to your truck to get the best performance with whatever other mods you have. Kind of a fine tune or tweaking the program thing. You won't get that with the off the shelf stuff.
