8.8 rearend
i ruined the rear housing on my 1998 ranger. It's a 8.8, 3.73 ratio. I bought a 1999 parts truck with the same rearend but with a 4.10 ratio. Can anyone tell me if the housing is the same where i could just swap out the gears into the other housing??

Keep it simple, just swap in the whole rearend, 4:10's are the bomb and the perfered gear for a lot of us. My last several rangers had 4:10's, I wouldn't have it any other way. But yes they should swap if you have to.
