shifting into 3rd
hello everyone this is my first post well i have a 93 ford ranger 4.0L automatic ,when i start driving in the morning or whenever the truck is parked for a few hours the transmission doesnt shift into third until the rpms are 3500-4500 this happens only the first time it shifts into 3rd after it does it once it shifts normally its just annoying going 30mph at 3000 rpms you gotta get on the main road before it shifts any ideas what the problem is?the fluid level seems normal right in the middle of the "ok" area.im no transmission expert should i add more?
