glow plug controller bypass

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for setting up a manual switch for the plugs on a 91? Do I just put a switch between the constant power going into the controller and the wire going to the plugs?

You have the solid state system which is the best........ what is wrong with yours you want to make it manual ops.

Controller had corrosion, broke it taking nut off to clean.

The glow plug one, on the unmarked side.

So the relay terminal is what is gone?

Glow plugs draw 200 amps, so you must have a relay.

Go to the parts store and get a glow plug relay for the 86 6.9 engine.

Now replace the relay on your controller with the new one, wires go the same place they are now.
